Kate is a designer’s designer. With impeccable skills and quality of work, she brings smart solutions and beautiful details to all of her projects. Her portfolio ranges from luxury residential and boutique hotels to multifamily mid-rise and high-rise spaces. She sees the larger picture and easily focuses on the individual and defining elements of a space. She often designs signature furniture pieces that are built in collaboration with local fabricators for the interiors she is designing.

Part of what Kate loves about her work is the exploration of materials and scale. Due to the variety of her project types, she enjoys a range of flexibility for experimentation with both.
”Some of the most important elements in a project are those that the user comes in contact with every day,” she explains. “It is not only the scale and functionality of the spaces themselves but the scale of the furniture, the hand, scent, sound, finish, and scale of the materials that go into a project that are the lasting impressions that stay with people to create the overall experience of place. It’s also important to me that we use materials with a conscience. Not only that we source materials that do no harm to the region, wildlife or people that inhabit those places, but that we source materials that are sustainable, healthy for the user and locally sourced.”
